About

Hi, I'm Scott.

From Rock Tours to Microsoft Security Architecture

I like to joke that I’m a former roadie who became a computer geek, but over the last 36 years I’ve built a career helping organizations secure, modernize, and transform their technology through Microsoft security, cloud architecture, and enterprise consulting.

Before entering the technology industry, I worked with many of the biggest rock bands of the 1980s and 1990s. My specialty was lighting and pyrotechnics, and there is a good chance you’ve seen concerts, music videos, television productions, or films that I helped bring to life. Those years taught me how to perform under pressure, manage risk, and deliver results when failure simply wasn’t an option.

Throughout my technology career, I’ve helped organizations of every size embrace and secure modern workplace technologies. I’ve worked with some of the world’s largest enterprises, supporting environments with more than 300,000 users, while also enjoying the unique challenges and opportunities that come with helping small and mid-sized businesses succeed.

In addition to consulting, I am a recognized international speaker who has presented to audiences around the world on Microsoft Security, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Teams, Exchange Online, compliance, identity, and cloud technologies. I enjoy sharing practical guidance, industry insights, and real-world lessons learned from decades of experience in both technology and entertainment.

Today, I serve as a Microsoft Security Architect at The Partner Masters, helping organizations strengthen security, improve compliance, modernize collaboration, and maximize the value of their Microsoft investments. My areas of focus include Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, identity, compliance, automation, and cloud architecture.

And yes… I still work the occasional concert and pyro show when the opportunity comes along.
